Ken is a chartered surveyor and a lecturer.  He is a member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  He holds a PhD. Degree in Property Development (Project Management) from the University of Bristol, UK, an M.Sc Degree in Property Development (Project Management) obtained from South Bank University in London. He holds a Post graduate Certificate in Public Administration from GIMPA, Ghana and a B.Sc. Degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

His experience in the public sector started from his employment with the Tema Development Corporation where was employed as an Assistant Estate Officer at the Estate Department 1973 till 1981 when he left to pursue further studies in England.

He also served as a Senior Valuation Surveyor at Greater London Council (GLC) and London Residuary Body responsible for valuations for compulsory purchase, sale and lettings, Appraisal of industrial and commercial properties between 1984 and 1991.

Between 1991 and 1996 Ken was appointed as a Senior Valuer/Estate Manager with LB LAMBETH PL C in London (UK) where he was responsible for property management, valuations and project management.

Ken was a part-time lecturer in Property Development and Management at the University of London, between 1997-1998.

He joined Valuation and Investment Associates as Senior Consultant for Valuations and Director for Development Appraisals. He is responsible for World Bank funded projects undertaken by the Firm.

Projects Dr. Yanney has managed include the Inventory of State Acquired and Occupied Lands under the Land Administration Project (LAP) for the Brim South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana, and Accra Plains and Tema Acquisition Area.  He managed the Property Rating Valuation of the Manya Krobo District under the LAP Project.  He led he Consulting team to partner with a firm of Land Surveyors (Losamills Limited) to undertake the Systematic Surveying, Parcel Inventory and Systematic Title Registration of Properties in Selected Land Title Districts in Accra (Lot 5: Section 53 District 04).  Ken was the Project Manager in the execution of Property Rating Valuation for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly within the Teshie-Nungua Rating Area.

Dr. Yanney has undertaken valuation assignments in the Hotel, Banking and Public Sectors.  His expertise include Mergers and Acquisitions, Feasibility and Viability studies and Urban Renewals.
