Mr. K.  Obeng-Ayirebi has proven ability in Building and Civil Engineering Construction, Chartered Professional Quantity Surveying/Cost Engineering Services, Construction Project Management & Marketing Management/Research, Financial Auditing of Construction Projects and Arbitration. He is also a Certified Mediator after attending a course in Mediation organised by the Judicial Training Institute of Ghana in 2012.   He has a wide range of experience in the build environment and marketing managing discipline.

He has also been involved in the preparation of national policy document\ on sanitation as cost specialist in association with other consulting firms. He has been involved in the provision of Cost Engineering/Quantity Surveying and Project Management services for some major projects in Ghana and elsewhere in the West Africa sub-region.  From his background he has also acquired some training in Business Valuation where the net worth of companies are determined for various financial transactions or for listing on the stock exchange.

He has been involved in the resolution of Disputes using the Arbitration and Mediation process in various Construction Disputes referred to him by the Law Courts in Ghana in his capacity as the Secretary to the Quantity Surveying Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.

As a Professional Quantity Surveyor, Kofi Obeng-Ayirebi has been involved in the Closing process of all Building and Civil Engineering Construction Contracts he has had the opportunity of providing such services in Ghana and beyond through the preparation of Final Account.

In his attempt to explore and extend his practice to Non Profit International Establishment, he went on secondment from his parent company to Plan International (an International NGO) as the Construction Engineer for the Ghana Transition and Persistence Project (TAP) sponsored by USAID.

As a procurement practitioner, he has been involved in the tendering and tender evaluation process of many proposed public and private commercial projects in Ghana.

With a background in capital project financing, he has been involved in providing due diligence for Construction Finance/Mortgage and Project Management in consultation with other Built Environment Professionals for Barclays Bank and CAL Bank Ghana Ltd.

He is a Fellow and Council Member of Ghana Institution of Surveyors and the current Secretary of the Quantity Surveying Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors. He has also been a member of the Project/Building and Marketing Excellence Awards committee of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana since 2008 to date.

He is a motivational speaker. He has been involved in talks on career guidance and counseling programmes for some selected Basic and Tertiary schools across the country as part of schools outreach programme planned by the Quantity Surveying Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.

He has attended many local and international conferences and seminar which has built his capacity to deliver on projects he has been involved. He has also delivered some conference papers on marketing management and quantity surveying /cost engineering.
